Biomedical Researcher’s NIW Approved, I-485 Pending Dr. Liu* contacted our firm toward the beginning of this year. She was hoping to obtain a national interest waiver (NIW) for her permanent residence application, and she had seen from our firm’s website that we have a strong track record with NIWs. Dr. Liu was working as a researcher at a medical school. She had both a medical degree and a master’s degree, and she had already produced some significant and original findings in her specific field. Dr. Liu also had a good assortment of other qualifications, including some published papers and conference presentations, an invitation to write a book chapter, citations and requests for reprints, and a prestigious professional membership.
