Dr. Su

Dr. Su received a Ph.D. degree in zoology from a Chinese university.  Prior to that time he earned a B.S. degree in Biology and Parasitology.  His primary area of research has been medical entomology and parasitology for internationally recognized institutions .

Dr. Su then retained Z&A in 2005.  Our attorneys carefully laid out the case as to how his research would benefit the American public.  Because 15,000 people every year are diagnosed with West Nile Virus and mosquito borne diseases are among the world’s leading causes of illness and death today.

Due to our presentation of Dr. Su’s case, his NIW petition was sent in June 2005 and approved in December 2005.

Dr. Wang

Dr. Wang received a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology at University of Virginia.  His research concentrated on multiple sclerosis disease, which afflicts over 350,000 people.   His research also addressed age related immunodeficiency and B cell mobilization in the bone marrow.  The prominence of his research had reached the Journal of Immunology, and Advances in Cancer Research.

Dr. Wang retained Z&A in 2005 to file a NIW.  Because of the widespread nature and how devastating MS is as a disease, Dr. Wang’s research will have the utmost importance in bettering the health of Americans. His past research already has benefited the understanding and treatment of this disease.

Dr. Wang’s NIW petition was sent May 2005 and approved November 2005.

Dr. Jing

Dr. Jing’s unique and exceptional background includes a Ph.D. in Electrochemistry and 12 years of research experience.  His primary area of research includes conducting cutting edge fundamental and applied investigations concerning polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells and direct methanol fuel cells.  Dr. Jing was the first scientist to successfully develop a nano-structured composite microelectrode technique and to systematically study in situ series of fuel cell reactions including oxygen reduction, hydrogen oxidation.

Dr. Jing retained Z&A in 2005 to file a NIW.  We further his case, we emphasized that the Department of Energy funded his research on fuel cells and he had been cited over 100 times by other experts in his field.  The basis of his contribution to his field was toward furthering the efficiency of fuel cells to create clean and quiet power with zero-emissions.

Dr. Jing’s NIW petition was sent in May 2005 and approved in October 2005.

Dr. Zhang

Dr. Zhang is a computer scientist whose research on software maintenance has the potential to reduce the costs for software maintenance 50% or more.  He currently works for a software company where his research is being funded by the Department of Defense.  Dr. Zhang had originally received a PH.D. in computer science from a top Chinese University.

Dr. Zhang retained Z&A in 2005 to file a NIW.  We were able to showcase Dr. Zhang’s experience not only as an author for journal papers, but as a reviewer for journals such as the Journal of Computer Research and Development.  His articles had been cited 120 times by experts in his field.

Dr. Zhang’s NIW petition was sent in June 2005 and approved in December 2005.

Dr. Yi

Dr. Yi received a medical degree from a Chinese university and worked as a surgeon for the World Health Organization until 2000.  He continued his research through a grant from the National Health Institutes to study at a Texas university in Pharmacology and Toxicology.   There he studied the role of toxicity on testicular cancer.

Dr. Yi retained Z&A in 2005 to file a NIW.  From there we were able to analyze his skills and experience and frame them properly.   Testicular cancer strikes young men from 15-30 years of age, and currently there is a 90% success rate with chemotherapy.  Dr. Yi’s research continues to develop better therapies with an enhanced quality of life afterwards.

Dr. Yi’s NIW petition was sent on May 2005 and approved November 2005.

Dr. Wang

Dr. Wang has extensive experience in the field of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, with a Ph.D. degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from a UK university. Prior to that she had attained a masters degree in Psychology in China.  She has been conducted research in the area of consumer and sensory research for internationally recognized institutions.

Dr. Wang came to Z&A in 2005 to retain our help in filing his NIW.  Our attorneys stressed his business experience at well known companies such as Unilever, where she worked on creating transfat replacements.  Her work on consumer and sensory research has been critical in providing industries with decision making information by helping food companies provide healthy, nutritional, and good tasting products that will improve the quality of consumer’s health.

Dr. Wang’s NIW was submitted on March 2005 and approved October 2005.

Dr. Renaul

Dr. Renaul received her bachelor’s degree in Medicine from an Indian University.  Later she completed a M.D. in Pharmacology.  During her post doc she has been studying the experimental problem of determining the behavioral and cellular mechanisms by which GABA neurot ransmission interacts with female sex steroid estrogens to inhibit withdrawal toxicity. 

Dr. Renaul retained Z&A in 2005 for her NIW.  Our attorneys emphasized that alcohol abuse, which was an area of Dr. Renaul’s research, affected 8% of the national population.  Also that Dr. Renaul research had accelerated research in treating alcoholism. Because of the low number of published articles on by Dr. Renaul, we highlighted other achievements such as abstracts co-authored by Dr. Renaul and evidence of presentations.

Dr. Renaul’s NIW was submitted on May 2005 and approved November 2005.

Dr. Han

Dr. Han received a Ph.D. in biophysics from a University in Hong Kong.  During her post doctoral research, she has been studying the structure and biological functions of proteins through the use of laser spectroscopy and microscopy.  Some of the articles she has written have been published in the Journal of American Chemical Society, Biochemistry, and Analytical Letters.

Dr. Han retained Z&A in 2005 for her NIW.  Our attorneys stressed that the biophysics had an important role in the development of next generation biotechnology inventions and products developed by the pharmaceutical industry.  He had over 30 peer reviewed publications and many letters of recommendations from professors around the country.

Dr. Han’s NIW was submitted on in January 2005 and approved in September 2005.

Dr. Cao

Dr. Cao received a Ph.D. in biological physics from a University in China.  During her post doc she has been studying the synaptic cell membranes in SNARE Proteins.  Her research has produced some 35 peer reviewed articles.

Dr. Cao retained Z&A in 2005 for her NIW.  Our attorneys stressed that with 40 to 50 million people affected by cardiovascular disease, Dr. Cao’s research in the field of Molecular Physiology and Biological Physics is critical.   He has been gaining insight into the role of cholesterol in atherosclrerosis.

Dr. Cao’s NIW was submitted on January 2005 and approved November 2005.

Dr. Zhang

Dr. Zhang holds a Ph.D in biochemistry from a midwestern University.  Her area of study has been in tissue analysis and animal surgery , mammalian cell line isolations, and confocal scanning microscopes.  Her research is likely to benefit neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.   Currently she is working as medical researcher studying cardiovascular disease at one of the top medical research centers in the country.

Dr. Zhang retained Z&A in 2005 for her NIW.  Our attorneys emphasized her strong recommendations from researchers at the National Institute of General Medical Sciences, and the National Cancer Institute.  While she only had seven published works, she had been cited over 35 times and had been published in well known journals such as PNAS.

Dr. Zhang’s NIW was submitted on June 2005 and approved December 2005.

Dr. Soo

Dr. Sun holds a Ph.D from a prestigious American University and an M.D. from a top medical school in China .  Her area of study has been in understanding the DNA of cancer cells and DNA reproduction.  So crucial is her research that it is being funded by the National Cancer Institute.  Because cancer is the second leading cause of death in the US, Dr. Sun’s work will certainly benefit many Americans.

Dr. Sun retained Z&A in 2005 for her NIW.  Our attorneys emphasized her unique abilities as a scientist and her strong contributions in the area of immunoflurescence and immunohistology methods.  We also stressed that she had won several professional awards and had long list of publications.

Dr. Sun’s NIW was submitted on July 2005 and approved December 2005.

Dr. Fen

Dr. Fen holds a Ph.D in biology from Belarus.  Her area of study has been in dopamine neurtransmitters.  She has made significant contributions in facilitating analog screening by transforming the receptor binding assay.  This discovery was used to produce new drugs for alzheimer’s disease.

Dr. Fen retained Z&A in 2005 for her NIW.  Our attorneys emphasized her unique abilities as a scientist and her strong contributions in pharmaceutical agents for debilitating central nervous system disorders.  While we could not put forth an enormous number of citations or publications, Dr. Fen did have two patents and several presentations at professional gatherings.

Dr. Fen’s NIW was submitted on June 2005 and approved December 2005.

Dr. Ju

Dr. Ju received a Ph.D in Organic Chemistry from a Korean University.  He currently conducts research at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory and has done extensive research in materials science.  He has published in journals such as the Journal of Organic Chemistry and Journal of Physical Chemistry.

Dr. Ju retained Z&A in 2005 to file a NIW.  From there we were able to analyze his skills and experience and frame them properly.   He had recommendation letters from researchers at Los Alamos, the National Science Foundation, and the U.S. Naval Academy. Also he had been awarded a number of patents.

Dr. Su

Dr. Su received a Ph.D in electrical engineering at Georgia Tech.  His research which is funded by the Department of Defense has focused on physical design algorithms based on novel materials and nanostructures.  He has also worked on projects funded by the National Science Foundation.

Dr. Su retained Z&A in 2005 to file a NIW.  From there we were able to analyze his skills and experience and help him along in the process.  Because of Dr. Su’s extensive work with large name corporations such as Intel and IBM, we highlighted his research activity as one which had potential to grow in the private sector.  Optoelectronics plays a critical role in supply efficient and effective technologies.

Dr. Su’s NIW petition was sent on June 2005 and approved January 2006.

Dr. Dang

Dr. Dang received a Ph.D in computational Chemistry at a New York university. His research in Drug design have led to new pharmaceuticals. He has won the CCG excellence award sponsored by the American Chemical Society and has numerous patents.

Dr. Dang retained Z&A in 2005 to file a NIW.  He had a unique case in that he had very few publications. We emphasized that he was providing a crucial measure in lowering the cost of health care and also lessening the amount of time required to discover new drugs.  Because of our efforts the Service agreed with our evaluation.

Dr. Dang’s NIW petition was sent on June 2005 and approved January 2006.
