Pending Cases May Update Address Change Online before 2007

Recently, the USCIS had anticipated that an online change of address process will be up and running by the end of the 2006 calendar year.  This online system will offer great convenience for the customers.

USCIS is currently in the testing stage of the online process. Customers will be able to report address changes for pending applications and to meet Form AR-11 requirements for individuals in the US for 29 days or more. USCIS does not envision address updates for I-864 Affidavit of Support sponsors or for attorney of record address changes in the first phase of the rollout.

Included in the first phase is a specific signature requirement which could be expanded in later phases to include attorneys of record being able to complete address changes on behalf of clients.
