Congress Add 20,000 H-1B Visas

On November 20, 2004, Congress passed the spending bill for 2005 fiscal year. The bill includes a measure to add 20,000 more visas for skilled foreign workers. The House approved the measure by a bipartisan 344-51 margin, while Senate passage was by 65-30. The Bill will become law upon President Bush’s approval.
