Priority date leaps According to December 2005 visa bulletin released by Department of State today, priority date leaps for those people born in mainland China who filed employment-based immigration petitions. Priority date of EB1 moves from January 1, 2000 to July 1, 2001. Priority date of EB2 moves from May 1, 2000 to February 1, 2001. Priority date of EB3 moves from May 1, 2000 to January 1, 2001. The reason why priority date moves forward is that USCIS did very poor in statistics. In fact, during this leaping period, few people filed employment-based immigration petitions. It is of great possibility that the similar thing will happen in the future. We predict that priority date will move quicker in the future.(11/11/2005) For more immigration news, please click here |
