USCIS releases Current Cap Count for H-1B Visas

According to USCIS, on October 23, 2005, the use of H-1B visa is as follows:

Please notice that the normal annual cap is 65,000, but because 6,800 are set aside for citizens of Chile and of Singapore , only 58,200 can be used for people from other countries. Moreover, we can see that from now on to September 30, 2006 (nearly 11 months), and the visa number available for US advance degree holder is 20,000-13,393=6,607. Therefore, if you plan to apply for H-1B visa, please do so at your earliest convenience.
