SEVIS Information for International Student Affected by Hurricane Katrina

The Student and Exchange Visitor Program has received numerous questions regarding international students who have been impacted by Hurricane Katrina. Some of these questions relate to the 30-day reporting requirement, ability to find temporary housing, and the ability to transfer to another SEVIS-certified school. If you are attending a school that is affected by Hurricane Katrina, and are unable to contact your Designated School Official, please contact this office on (202) 305-2346 or email us at SEVIS.Source@dhs.gov . Please continue to monitor this website for future updates.
