H1B Petitions Have Not Reached the Cap

It is confirmed by USCIS a canard that the H1B petitions they had received has reached the H1B cap for FY 2007 and the 20,000 exempted quota for foreign workers with a U.S.-earned master's or higher degree has also been used up. In fact, neither the H1B cap for FY 2007 nor the 20, 000 cap has been reached. Employers should continue to file H1B petitions for FY 2007 for their foreign employees. USCIS will provide an update about the latest cap numbers later this week.
