An Unexpected American DreamAmerica is an amazing country. Thousands of fortune hunters swarmed into America with a dream of earning great money. Most of them were depressed by the cruel reality. However, a few lucky guys were hit by the big apple pie. The miracle happened in Nebraska . On February 22, eight workers at a meatpacking plant won a jackpot of $365 million, three of whom are immigrants, two from Vietnam , and one from Republic of Congo . This is the biggest lottery jackpot in US history. The previous record was $363 million, won by two ticketholders in Illinois and Michigan in 2000. The eight people would get $15.5 million each after taxes. "This is a great country!" Quang Dao yelled out after winning the great lottery. He is a Vietnam immigrant who arrived in America in 1988 and still has his family in Vietnam now. He said he would change his family's life with the winning. The 26-year-old Congo immigrant, Alain Maboussou, came into America in 1999 to escape unrest after the civil war. He intended to spend some money as tuition fee for a degree in business administration. He is happy for making his baby daughter's life become rich and stable. Another lucky Vietnam immigrant, Dung Tran, said he wouldn't forget the clerk in the convenience-store who sold him fortune and might give her a tip.
