Cut-Off Dates Move Forward in Feb. 2006According to visa bulletin for February 2006 released by Department of State on January 12, 2006, cut-off date continues to leap for those people born in mainland China who filed employment-based immigration petitions. Cut-off date of EB1 moves from January 1, 2002 to January 1, 2003 (12 months). Cut-off date of EB2 moves from June 1, 2001 to April 1, 2002 (10 months). Cut-off date of EB3 moves from April 1, 2001 to April 22, 2001. We can find that both EB-1 and EB-2 have a substantial move and EB-1 has an advantage now. We predict that EB-2 and EB-1 move quickly in the next a few months. Therefore, if you consider applying for employment-based immigration and have an option to choose any one of these categories, EB-1 and EB-2 including NIW should be the first choice.
