Zhang & Associates’ Achievements in 2007 2007 was a fantastic year for Zhang & Associates. Not only did our firm maintain its high approval rates for I-485, NIW, and EB-1 cases—we also lobbied for immigrants in Washington, started to do more for our community and the environment, and opened a new branch office. This article contains a brief summary of Zhang & Associates’ achievements in 2007. Approval Rates This year, Zhang & Associates’ attorneys and staff worked harder than ever for our clients, maintaining high approval rates for all our principal case types. Here are our main statistics from 2007:
Please note that these statistics do not predict the probability of any single client’s case being approved. However, they do show that most of our clients who received results this year walked away satisfied—largely due to the expertise and hard work of our immigration attorneys and supporting staff. Our Lobbying Efforts In September, representatives from our firm traveled to Washington, D.C., to meet with lawmakers and participate in Immigration Voice’s immigration rally. Our representatives spoke with Representative Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Representative Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), and other lawmakers about issues such as the H-1B quota, visa retrogression, and the FBI name-check process, with altogether positive results. Our representatives also participated in Immigration Voice’s rally on September 18, in which hundreds of participants from around the country marched from the Washington Monument to the Capitol. The rally drew the attention of various media, including the New York Times and the Washington Post. Our Green Initiative and Community Outreach In 2007, we decided to start doing more for our community and the environment. The firm’s green initiative, launched in 2007, includes a greater effort to recycle in our firm’s branch offices and a series of incentives for employees who lead more sustainable lifestyles—rewarding everything from purchasing hybrid cars to installing solar panels and compact fluorescent light bulbs at home. Zhang & Associates also became a sponsor for Houston’s and Austin’s public radio stations, KUHF and KUT, and began to participate in the Adopt-a-Block program, organized by the nonprofit organization Keep Houston Beautiful. We at Zhang & Associates hopes that even our small efforts will help make a difference in our environment and community. Our New Austin Office In late 2007, Zhang & Associates opened a new office in Austin, Texas. We hope that our new office will help us serve faculty and staff from the University of Texas, high-tech workers in the Silicon Hills, and any other Austinites with immigration-related needs. Our Austin office is currently open on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 2008 and Beyond Zhang & Associates is taking every measure to continue providing our clients with excellent service in 2008 and beyond.
