Telephone Appointment System for Visa Application in China Has Reopened

The American Mission in China announced the reopening of the Visa Call Center. The Visa Call Center reopened Friday, June 4 at 7:00 a.m., and will be scheduling U.S. visa interview appointments for the following week. Walk-in visa application systems have stopped in Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Shenyang since June 4.

The Visa Call Center can be reached by dialing 4008-872-333 from anywhere in China. Payment of service charges can be made by buying a pre-paid PIN card at CITIC banks, using a credit card via the Call Center website at www.usavisainformation.com.cn, or by using a postal/bank order.

Next month, the Call Center will introduce a new, budget pre-paid pin card. The new card will allow callers to purchase a shorter, cheaper block of call time (eight minutes) rather than the standard twelve minutes of time for the regular card. Further details regarding payment are available at www.usembassy-china.org.cn.
