Gabe Griesbaum is a staff attorney at the firm's Austin office. Before joining Zhang and Attorneys, Gabe worked in China as a Consultant for an Educational Exchange firm and dealt with clients from across the Western Hemisphere. He also taught History and Culture of English speaking nations, and in his free time helped many students and businesspeople with visa interviews and applications.
Gabe graduated from University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Government in 2005, and graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 2008. While in law school he worked with the Federal Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Texas and for the Travis County District Attorney’s Office.
Having lived in China, and being married to Chinese woman for whom he personally handled an immigration petition, Gabe has a deep respect for the Chinese culture and first-hand knowledge of the challenges and emotions of an immigration petition. Through a combination of self-study and daily practice at home, he is fluent in Mandarin and can read and write Chinese characters as well.
Since joining Zhang and Attorneys, Gabe has gained experience working on several types of visas, including EB-1(a) and National Interest Waivers.
