Lynn Greening received her B.S. from Pacific University in May 2000, double majoring in Biology and Business Administration with a concentration in Management. She then spent two years teaching English in Japan and traveling throughout Southeast Asia before returning to the U.S.

After a few years working for a commercial real estate company, Ms. Greening attended Case Western Reserve University School of Law, receiving her J.D. in May 2009. During law school she completed concentrations in International Law and Law, Technology and the Arts, earning the ABA/BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Intellectual Property.

During her first summer in law school, Ms. Greening interned in the legal department of SK Networks in Seoul, South Korea. She researched and presented on issues of legal trade and securities exchange with China. She also garnered extensive insight on intellectual property issues associated with investment in China. During the summer of 2008, she interned at Ormiston & McKinney, a small boutique patent firm specializing in technology patents.
