Daqin Zhang is a licensed member of New York State Bar, Utah State Bar, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). In addition, He passed the Chinese National Bar Exam in 1998 with the second highest score in all of Guangdong Province. Daqin earned his Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) from Brigham Young University (BYU) in 2004 and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) from the China Foreign Affairs College in 1997.

Prior to joining Zhang & Associates, Daqin practiced with Kirton & McConkie, a full-service law firm in Salt Lake City that handles a substantial amount of international financings and cross-border investments. In addition, Daqin has clerked with the Legal Department of General Motors, and the Hong Kong offices of Dibb Lupton Alsop (DLA), a leading global law firm, during his years at BYU Law School.

Before coming to the U.S., Daqin practiced four years in Guangzhou and Hong Kong, where he specialized in setting up foreign invested enterprises (FIEs); enforcing intellectual property rights (IPR); and negotiating franchising & licensing agreements.

Daqin speaks Mandarin, Cantonese,and English. His practice with Zhang & Associates focuses on a wide range of immigration and business law issues.

Daqin enjoys spending time in activities with his church, family, and community.
