Andrew McCusker is a staff attorney at the firm’s Austin location.  Before joining Zhang and Associates, Andrew worked as a licensing consultant with a national songwriter performance rights organization, and as of counsel for a boutique law firm in Durham, North Carolina.

Andrew graduated summa cum laude from Saint Michael’s College in 2007, where he double-majored in Philosophy and Political Science, and graduated cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law in 2010.  While in law school, Andrew was a member of his school’s moot court team and gained experience working as a student attorney for an intellectual property clinic, as a student attorney for a general practice clinic, and as a legal intern for a major music company in Nashville, Tennessee.  For his efforts in the field of intellectual property law, Andrew was awarded the ABA/BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Intellectual Property.

In all, Andrew has gained experience in various fields of law, including copyright, trademark, entertainment, patent, family/juvenile, real estate, corporate, foreclosure, workers’ compensation, criminal, and immigration law.

Since joining Zhang and Associates, Andrew has gained extensive experience working in various employment-based immigration matters, including EB-1A, EB-1B, National Interest Waiver, and O-1 petitions.
