Robert K. Feldman has been practicing business law for over twenty-eight (28) years.  Robert began his practice in Denver, Colorado where he was actively involved in IPO’s for energy, med-tech and technology companies.  Mr. Feldman presently resides in the Chicago Metropolitan where his practice is focused upon representation in the areas of Corporate, M&A, Securities, Finance and Commercial Real Estate law.  Robert has assisted clients in over $1 Billion in commercial matters throughout the United States and Internationally.

Robert helps clients with public and private offerings, venture capital and structured finance transactions as well as mergers and acquisitions of public and private companies.  Robert is routinely involved in matters of corporate governance including shareholder and board meetings, corporate minutes, shareholder disputes and buy-sell agreements.  Robert also assists clients with new venture formation including corporations, limited liability companies, joint ventures, partnerships and trusts.  

Robert assists clients with general commercial matters as well, including supply, distribution and manufacturing contracts, intellectual property royalty and license agreements, technology transfer, consulting and employment matters, strategic alliances and joint ventures, and related employment, no-compete, and non-disclosure agreements.

Robert has represented construction firms, developers, financial institutions and venture capital firms in all aspects of commercial real estate.  Robert provides assistance with commercial real estate matters ranging from finance, sale and acquisition, leasing, development, construction, and incentive agreements, to zoning and land planning.  Robert can assist clients with any type of real estate project whether industrial, office, multi-family, shopping centers, or hotel facilities. 

Robert has represented a number of banks and borrowers and can assist clients on commercial finance transactions including, M&A, indentures, operating lines of credit, asset based loans, retail factoring, work-outs, as well as real estate finance transactions.

Over the years, Robert has represented a variety of clients including New York Stock Exchange listed  Companies such as ABN Amro, Aetna Life Insurance Co., AT&T, Avis Rent-a-Car, CenterPoint Properties, Comcast Cable,  Crown Life Insurance, Cyclops Industries, Harris Bank, Hyatt Hotels, North American Life Insurance Co., Key Bank, Prudential Securities, Pulte Homes, TCI Cable, Taco Bell Corp, Traveler’s Insurance, Transamerica,  MDC, and Wal-Mart Stores.  Other notable representative clients have included The J. Paul Getty Family Trusts, Dominick's Finer Foods, Miller, Klutznick & Davis,  FCL Builders, Lakeside Bank and the Governors of the states of Colorado and Illinois.

Robert has experience in the creation of EB-5 Regional Centers and has traveled extensively throughout the People’s Republic of China and South Korea negotiating a variety of agreements in connection with the EB-5 program. 

Robert has lectured on commercial transactions before trade groups in Colorado, Arizona, and Illinois.

Education:

Mr. Feldman obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas.  Mr. Feldman did graduate studies in International Law at the London School of Economics, London, England, and graduated with honors from the John Marshall Law School.
